Trauma experienced in early childhood, impacts a child’s relationships, even later in life.

As parents of children with trauma, we might not always understand why it might be difficult for our child to form healthy relationships . We might find ourselves wondering if they will be able to attach to us, be good friends or get along with thier siblings. In this session we will take a closer look at how our child’s history influences thier attachment patters and in turn their relationship with us and others. We will also find the hope in applying connection strategies to help our child heal and grow.

Our parent support sessions are online trainings with a small number of participants and a facilitator that has been there and understands how difficult it could be to parent a child who has experienced trauma. This is a great time to bring your specific questions as our parent trainer will be able to give more one on one answers due to the small number of participants in the group.

Foster parents will receive a certificate of attendance for continuing education credits.
