In the journey of parenthood, one of the topics often regarded as taboo is the subject of sex. What, when, where, and how to have these conversations have always been gray areas. This subject can become even more difficult or intimidating when you add the layer of adversity or sexual trauma some children from hard places have experienced before coming into our homes.
Join Fostering Hope’s Director of Programs and fellow adoptive mom, Dr. Beth Feger as she leads an interactive discussion around talking to our kids about sex. Together we will address the nuances of talking with children who have experienced sexual trauma about the topics of intimacy, consent, and sex.
Wherever you are on this journey, we look forward to seeing you at this month’s Those Who Know: Parent Support session.
