Those Who Know: Hope for the Holidays

December 8, 2022 @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Free

Here come the holidays … and all the joys & triggers it brings to children who have experienced loss, trauma, or separation. Join Fostering Hope founder and adoptive mom, Julie Kouri, as we discuss common challenges that occur surrounding the holiday season with kids who have experienced loss, trauma, or separation. She will share practical strategies and tips to add some HOPE to make your holiday season a little brighter and less chaotic.

Topics will range from sweets to triggers. Strategies for those moments where we’ve already “gone off the rails,” will help us co-regulate back to a place of peace.

If this sounds like your previous holiday experience or you are anticipating your first holiday together, join us for this month’s Those Who Know: Hope for the Holidays Parent Support session.

The Fostering Hope Family Center doors will be open on December 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Come fellowship with our team, and get your holiday gifts wrapped! We will be keeping our coffee pot on and the sweet treats stocked for this holiday event. Holiday wrapping paper will be provided. All adoptive, foster, kinship, and reunified families are welcome!
