Parent Support: Avoiding Power Struggles When the Power is Mine to Share

May 27, 2021 @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Free

When we don’t see the meaning behind behaviors, we are at risk of entering in a power struggle with our children. Children who have experienced trauma have overwhelming behaviors. As parents we must see the meaning behind the behavior and meet the need for our child to prevent power struggles and optimize healing. In this session, we will discuss the reasons behind these difficult behaviors and how to respond to them using the IDEAL response from TBRIĀ®. Our parent coaching sessions are workshops for foster and adoptive parents with a small number of participants. Bring your specific questions as our parent trainer will be able to give more one on one answers due to the small number of participants in the group.

Foster parents will receive a certificate of attendance for continuing education credits.

This is an online training. You will receive the link to join after registering for the event.
