There are families you are ministering to who need healing in and through their relationships. How we heal in relationship with others is the essence of trauma informed care, and it is why having a trauma informed lens is essential in your children’s ministry. A trauma informed ministry takes into account the whole story of the person and creates a safe atmosphere for everyone where they can learn and focus on their relationship with God. In this training, we will learn how trauma impacts a child’s brain, body, and behavior as well as strategies that will help you create an environment where all children can feel connected, safe, and able to learn. The goals for this training will be to learn about what trauma is, how it applies to all those in our church , and how to implement strategies for a trauma informed ministry. Lunch will be provided!
